Coplas del Viento | 2020 Scarf Design

Wapachosso is a Colombian resortwear brand inspired by the country’s nature, culture, and music. The Coplas del Viento scarf design draws from traditional songs sung during various types of work in Colombian and global communities, including laundry, cattle raising, fishing, and traditional milling songs. The artwork blends these melodies with imagery and phrases that tell the story of how music and labor intertwine.

The collection also highlights the scarf’s versatility, showcasing its many uses—as a bandana, shirt, or cover-up, as well as a belt or an accessory to enhance an outfit or bag. The photoshoot took place in the Colombian countryside, where many of these songs originate, capturing the essence of small-town life and the natural environments where they are sung.
